Star Capital is a unique asset manager licenced by CMA (166) and RBA (1/14/043).
Star Capital was founded by three investment and pension professionals – Andrew Slater, Stephen Tennant and Darshan Ruparelia – who have brought together global investment capability, risk management expertise, fund administration skills and a commitment to client service.
Star Capital’s founders have careers working with African institutional investors and their regulators. We understand investment and, just as importantly, we understand the needs, objectives and constraints of African institutional investors.
We deploy that knowledge and expertise to create products which allow local investors to diversify their portfolios, reduce risk and enhance returns. Our focus is designing innovative, turnkey and specialist mandates for a client base of African institutional investors. We provide our investment solutions via a CIS – collective investment scheme – regulated in Mauritius.
We are advocates that African institutional investors shall own their strategic asset allocation and implement through specialist not balanced mandates.
Our focus on innovation extends beyond investment mandates to our client service. A client has daily visibility on their portfolio with Star Capital and its performance and risk metrics. Such analytical capability is available as a separate standalone service on the entire portfolio.
